Brenda Grissom is a Superwoman, no nonsense professional with a loyal and caring spirit. Brenda is a retired training coordinator, formerly with Safeway Stores Inc. who knows a thing or two about implementing programs. She is an optimist who enjoys life to the fullest while continuing to hone her crafts in being a motivational speaker, and a nonprofit administrator. She accomplishes these skillsets by being a detailed-oriented, and time efficient executor serving as a resource to help women currently dealing with breast cancer and its many survivors achieve their destinies by never giving up.

Recently, Brenda added CEO/Founder of Gertrude’s House to her repertoire of skill sets and realizes her success is a compilation of straightforward actions to ensure women are armed and prepared to fight like a girl to beat breast cancer. Gertrude’s House is a support group that’s literally “Just a Sister Away”. The mission of Gertrude’s House is to be any support informational, spiritually, emotionally, psychologically, and financially to our sisters on their journey fighting this horrible disease breast cancer. With the help of our amazing Heavenly Father and a team of believers, anything is possible.

Brenda is an outgoing person who garners strength from God and the wisdom of her role model, her deceased father. She enjoys helping others and serving her community by selflessly being in the background assisting people one-on-one, women-to-women, one person at a time. Brenda makes you feel that you’re not alone and Gertrude’s House of sisters collectively let you know “They Have Your Back!”

A two-time breast cancer and one-time ovarian cancer survivor, Brenda Grissom has firsthand knowledge of what it takes to battle these diseases and has been cancer-free for more than three decades. In this time, Grissom has counseled women to be warriors in their own rights. Brenda Grissom birthed Gertrude’s House based on her personal experiences in preparing God’s battle plan to beat breast and ovarian cancer and along the way became the mother of Rodella Gertrude Grissom.

Brenda is a deeply spiritual, loyal, family-oriented, and committed professional whose mission in life is to serve. She resides in the Metro Atlanta area sharing her love of God, family, and community while helping others understand the breast and ovarian cancer journey and igniting breast cancer awareness like no other.

Join this no nonsense, servant leader, mother, and breast cancer survivor in the quest to serve, work, and play because Life is not meant to be regretful but lived On Purpose”.
